What if the person you think is perfect, is actually an important part of your own success?⁣

With social media at our fingertips and a world full of amazing people, it is so easy to look from afar and create our own ideas about who people are!⁣

As you scroll, you can create a judgment of someone (good or bad) based on a curated photo. Without even noticing, people often use it against themselves…What?!⁣

Have you ever been scrolling and then stopped for a moment and thought:

“Wow - they have everything figured out!”

“They are so perfect.”

“They have everything I want, I’ll never be able to have it though.” ⁣

You may have had a thought like this once or twice — it’s as if that person you see as beautiful, successful or intelligent - makes you feel less than.⁣

Here’s the thing - you can never be them, BUT you can be YOU!⁣

Someone else’s success is so valuable to you. Why? ⁣

Because if you allow it, it can be a HUGE reminder that if someone else has done it, so can you!⁣

The next time you find yourself feeling jealous, anxious or overwhelmed by looking at (or hearing about) someone else’s success or something you envy about them, try this.⁣

Take a moment to stop and dissect what is truly happening within.⁣

1. Ask yourself this:⁣

What am I feeling right now (get super specific) so you can be aware of the feeling.⁣

2. Write it out in a journal, record a voice note, tell a trusted friend.

Get clear and understanding of yourself — be as open as possible so you can see what truly is making you feel this way.⁣

3. Create an opportunity for self-talk with yourself. ⁣

I may have felt jealous about this person having this business, that vacation, etc. But just because they have it, does not mean I never will. This is possible for me too - how am I going to get there?⁣

YOU are capable of so much more than you think. Once we let go of the negative feelings, we create room for growth and for our power to step in. Don’t let an instagram post take away your power or your ability to become the person you want to be. ⁣

Use that energy to become the person you want to be!
